Occasionally, we find items on the top shelf of the fridge have frozen, regardless of the temperature control setting. This morning pretty much everything on the top shelf was frozen. Egg-sicles...YUM.
So I decided to deep clean all of the coils. I have a long brush for this type of situation. I laid on the floor and scrubbed the coils and then vacuumed them. I really went all out this morning and I also pulled the fridge away from the wall, removed a cover on the back and vacuumed everything there.
WHY DO YOU CARE?
Because as I was vacuuming HUGE clumps of lint balls I discovered a petrified mouse. I got a paper towel and tried to pick it up. The tail broke off, exposing little mouse tail bones. I grabbed closer to the body, more tail came off. So I just had to grab the darn mouse. It was stuck. It had fused to the bottom of the fridge. I pried it off, but there are still a few little mouse hairs stuck in the fridge.
How many times have I opened the fridge and said, "It smells like something died in here"? Turns out something actually did.

Kathy you are the most awesome and real person I've ever met. I love you! I love that you shared this story. I love that it made me cringe and smile at the same time....Poor little mouse.
